DND in On the Market for 8 Amphibious Assault Vehicles

Recently the Philippine Dept. of National Defense opens the Bidding for 8 Brand New AAV's for it's on going Modernization Program, The Approved budget for the contract of the Acquisition is 2.5 Billion Php Pesos(58 Million US Dollar) Once it will be acquired & delivered it will be use by the Philippine Marine Corp for Amphibious Landing on beaches in cases Military Siege. Further Details will be shown here at DND's Website.

Philippine Navy Procured 5 Naval Helicopters

The Philippine Navy is expecting the arrival of the 5 newly acquired Naval Helicopters from Agusta Westland Manufacturer. The Agusta Westland109 helicopters is a light weight, twin engine, eight seater multi-purpose maritime helicopters bulit by Anglo--Italian firm. The initial 3 helicopters are to be deliver in December this year 2013 and the next 2 in 2014...

Philippine to Procure a Variety of Korea's Incheon Class Frigates


The Displacement of Incheon class frigates makes 2,300 tons with the length of 114 meters and beam of 14 meters. The ships are capable to accelerate up to 30 knots and have operating range of 4,300 miles. 

This Frigate is armed with 127-mm gun Mk-45 Mod 4, 20-mm antiaircraft gun system Phalanx, air defense missile system RAM Block 1, four antiship missiles SSM-700K Hae Sung, four cruise missiles Hyunmoo-3 and torpedoes K745 LW Blue Shark. Air wing may consist of Westland Super Lynx or Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk helicopters.

A South Korean unnamed Defense Manufacturer having talks with the Philippine Defense Officials regarding for the possible sale of a variety of an INCHEON CLASS FRIGATES to Philippine Navy. . . This kind of Frigate would probably cost at around 225 Million Dollar or 9.25 Billlion Pesos more or less. According to the Philippine News Agency the Defense Officials prompted to procure a brand new Frigate rather than a Refurbished one,like the original plan to acquired a Maestralle Class Frigates of the Italian Navy which are already old enough and expensive to maintain.

Philippine Navy will Buy Ex-US Coastguard Cutter

The Philippine Navy is embarking it's Modernization process towards it's goal in Strategic Sail Plan 2020. To the
Navy to become the Envy in the South East Asian Region Again, A Highly Responsive, Credible and Modernized Fleet.
       Recently Philippine Navy official said in an interview that they will commission the US COASTGUARD largest Cutter with the exception of it's latest National Security Cutter.
        It is said that it is USS HAMILTON CLASS CUTTER, that was commissioned by the Us Coastguard during 1965.
        According to the Report the ship would be arrive in Manila in the Middle of the First Quarter of 2011.
        For it's delivery to the Philippine Navy.
This will be the Largest vessel that the Philippine Navy would ever have.
